Anderson through to third round at Wimbledon 

Powerful serving South African Kevin Anderson will face No 16 seed Fabio Fognini of Italy in the fourth round at Wimbledon after trumping France's Edouard Roger-Vasselin in the third round on Wednesday. 

Anderson recorded a 7-6 (7-0), 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 win over the French Open doubles champion.

South Africa are well-represented at Wimbledon with Chanelle Scheepers through to the second round in the women’s draw after dispatching Christina McHale on Tuesday.

Scheepers is also participating in the women’s doubles and she and Russian partner, Vera Dushevina, eased past Annika Beck of Germany and Kurumi Nara of Japan 6-3, 6-2 in their opener on  Court 4 on  Wednesday.

Doubles specialist Raven Klaasen and American partner Eric Butorac who reached the Australian Open final earlier this year, beat Ryan Harrison and Kevin King of the United States of America 6-4, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 in a first-round clash on Wednesday night.
