Young, talented and a risk taker that is DJ Franchiser

Electronic music is a scarce genre in South Africa but DJ Franchiser is investing his all to be a successful DJ in this music genre.

Themba ‘DJ Franchiser’ Mashego believes in taking the road that is less travelled. He is not afraid to take risks.

Electronic music is a scarce genre in South Africa but DJ Franchiser is investing his all to be a successful DJ in this music genre.

“I want to try bridge the gap between blacks and whites because at this stage whites are dominating the genre. More black people are needed. All races have to be equally dominated. So please come join,” encouraged DJ Franchiser.

The 21-year-old discovered his love for music in 2008. From then onwards he has been a busy body. He has an electro mixes project for his music mixes called Electronic Music Dance (EDM) Experience this was created in 2011. He shares his music online and provides free downloads on his Facebook fan page: DJ Franchiser Edm.

DJ Franchiser is also a resident DJ at Emalahleni FM making him the first person to play this genre on the airways.
His debut album released in February is titled EDM EXPERIENCE Vol 1 featuring 16 songs. The compilation was released under his record label. In this CD he worked with a female vocalist from Botswana.

The album boasts producers such as Jack Pulse, Dett Ponalty, Rood Van Estos and Titanium Dex. DJ Franchiser said he sees his life in terms of music.

“I do music because of the huge love I have for it. It is my life,” said DJ Franchiser.

Besides taking the electronic music industry by storm, he is studying Marketing Management at Boston City College.
