Heinz Winckler at The Zululand Trade Fair

FAMOUSLY known for winning the first season of South African Idols, Heinz Winckler will be making his way to the Zululand Trade Fair stage on 2 July.

Heinz is no stranger to Richards Bay, after having performed at the Dolosfees music festival.

Since Idols, the chart topping pop star has released a double platinum selling single, three chart topping English studio albums, finished forth in World Idols, and has been nominated for two South African Music Awards.

‘I am bringing my greatest hits, funniest stories and loads of energy to the Trade Fair stage. The Zululand audience can expect to be entertained, to dance and have an awesome time.

‘I am looking forward to having loads of fun, and also getting to have a great time with all of the people,’ he said.

Heinz has become a household name to many local families, and has toured the world with many international artists, including Christina Aguilera and Diana Ross. He has also starred in several local soapies.

He regards his passion for music as his main driving force towards success.

‘I am motivated to entertain, I am also driven by my passion for creating new music. I compete against nobody but myself.

‘I choose not to allow circumstances or preconceived ideas about how the music industry should work or how people should treat me dictate my work. I strive to raise the standard by example.’
