Dancers raise thousands for SPCA

AFTER the recent successful two-day ‘Movie Magic’ fund-raising event hosted by the Association of Zululand Dance Teachers, R40 000 was handed to the Empangeni and Richards Bay SPCA.

In addition to the money raised, participants and the audience also generously donated dog and cat food.

‘We would like to thank the community who supported this initiative and it is through their support that the SPCA can continue providing its much needed services’, said one of the dance teachers, Alison Rosso.

‘Grantham Park Primary School did us the huge favour of providing the venue free of charge, Ocean Audio free sound and Red Metals supported this initiative with a cash donation.’
