Can you operate a 1908 Ellams Duplicator? Jerry needs your help!

A KWAMBONAMBI resident recently acquired a 107-year-old photocopy machine from an antique shop in the Eastern Cape and is looking for any local enthusiasts to show him how it works.

Jerry Pretorius is a lover of all things old and, while friends and colleagues tell him he should have the copier valued to sell, he would rather find out how it works and keep it as a museum piece.

All Jerry currently knows is that the machine is an Ellams Duplicator B I9 model, thought to have been manufactured in 1908.

It appears to be completely intact, including the paper tray.

Jerry would like any antique enthusiasts, who may have a knowledge of this item, to contact him on 073 7721400 or jerrypretorius@gmail.com.
