Name change set for uThungulu District
His Majesty King Goodwill Zwelithini gives the go-ahead on changing district name.

POLITICAL leaders together with His Majesty King Goodwill Zwelithini have given the stamp of approval for the renaming of the uThungulu District to King Cetshwayo District.
The delegation discussed the development of the project, initially conceptualised in 2013 by the late Deputy Mayor, Thulani Mashaba and former Speaker, Musa Mzimela.
‘I am happy to see that uThungulu District Municipality will honour King Cetshwayo by renaming the district thus,’ said His Majesty King Zwelithini.
‘In addition to this, I encourage the district to build a centre where people can show their handwork to tourists,’ he added.
It was proposed the renaming of uThungulu House to King Cetshwayo House would ideally take place during Heritage month, this September.
