A MAN bearing a striking resemblance to star rapper Kanye West, is being sought by Empangeni police.
Police are appealing to the community to help locate the wanted man, known as Assimwe Geoffrey (35), the owner of a cell phone repair shop.
Allegedly he pretended to be a house builder, misleading a woman into paying him R50 000 in order for him to buy building material.
After he received the money, he closed his shop and disappeared.
A case of theft was opened and a warrant of arrest has been issued.
Geoffrey was reportedly last seen in Durban.
