A POST on Telkom’s Facebook page seems to be the only answer for an Empangeni resident’s Internet woes.
In the post, Telkom states that its Internet mail services are experiencing an ‘interruption of service’.
It also said it was ‘urgently working to resolve the issue’.
‘Our Internet has been down since Thursday,’ said the resident, who chose not to be named.
‘I have not been able to get hold of Telkom for the past two days, and my Internet is still down.’
She said that she had since attempted to contact Telkom again, but had only received a voice message saying they were experiencing some issues.
‘Using the Internet and my phone line is crucial to the running of my business. Now everything has come to a standstill.’
She received a SMS from Telkom saying the fault had been logged, and that the technical repair division had it ‘in hand’.
‘It’s been five days and there has been no sign of them.’
