Murder accused eShowe farmer to apply for bail

Protestors have gathered outside the Pietermaritzburg High Court demanding the farmer be denied bail

Members of the Right2Know Campaign (R2K) will picket outside the Pietermaritzburg High Court today (14 January) calling for an eShowe farmer to be denied bail.
The accused will appear in connection with the murder of Sanele Sibusiso Masango.
It is alleged that he ran his vehicle over the 13-year-old child, who later died in the eShowe District Hospital in August 2014.
At the time of the incident, the man was charged with reckless driving and therefore, was not arrested.
With the intervention of R2K KZN, the National Prosecution Authority changed the charge from reckless driving to murder.
