Free pap smears for fifty women

Additional pap smears will be charged at a reduced rate and limited spaces are available.

TO coincide with Woman’s Day, Dr Jayeshnee Moodley, a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist, will be offering 50 free pap smears.

According to Moodley, cervical cancer is the most common gynaecological cancer in southern Africa, affecting 50% of the female population.

Cervical cancer is preventable through regular pap smear screening.

Additional pap smears will be charged at a reduced rate and limited spaces are available.

Bookings are essential and the free service will be available between 10 and 12 August at the Empangeni Medical Centre, Suite 4. Contact 035 7721581 for bookings or more information.
