Marvelous morning downpour

CLOUDS burst over Empangeni on Monday, letting down a whopping 75mm of rain between 6am and midday alone.

The Richards Bay Clean Air Association (RBCAA) also reported 41mm in Richards Bay between 1am and 6am the same morning.

Rains began on Friday night and continued intermittently until Monday’s downpour.

Only 12mm were noted in Empangeni on Saturday morning at 6am, and another 14mm by Monday morning, bringing the total to just over 101mm by Monday afternoon.
