FIVE men accused of murdering the Mhlongo family in Zululiyaduma outside Melmoth on 13 August, withdrew their bail applications last Wednesday.
The accused – Siphoseihle Khayelihle Ndlela (21), Siyanda Sphamandla Khanyile (18), Phakamani Phiwayinkosi Ngema (26) and Mxolisi Sphilele Biyela (19) – have been transferred to the Vryheid prison.
The fifth accused is a minor and cannot be named.
