Mtuba taxi hit by train

Two passengers sustained minor injuries

A TAXI minibus transporting passengers to Dukuduku Reserve near Mtubatuba, was hit by a goods train while crossing the railway line on Saturday afternoon.

Two passengers sustained minor injuries and were taken to the KwaMsane clinic for treatment.

According to Mtubatuba police the driver of the taxi said when he approached the level crossing he saw the train coming, but thought it was still safe to cross.

A case of reckless and negligent driving resulting in injuries of passengers was opened for investigation.
