Sugarfest 2017 ready to roll in Amatikulu
Organiser, John Nightingale says the committee is looking at expanding the show grounds to include a larger section of the golf course below the clubhouse to accommodate more exhibitors
ALL indications show that Sugarfest 2017, on 13 and 14 July at the Amatikulu Country Club, is going to be bigger and better than previous events.
Organiser, John Nightingale says the committee is looking at expanding the show grounds to include a larger section of the golf course below the clubhouse to accommodate more exhibitors.
Sugarfest will continue to showcase the sugar industry and all exhibitions will be of particular interest to the sugar farmer. John says while sugar is still their focus, this does not mean it will not be of interest to other farmers.
Farming implements, fertilizers and fire fighting equipment have no farm boundaries and are common to all agricultural enterprises. Farmers, big and small are expected to attend the two-day show, which is held every second year.

John says the stands are selling fast, with most of the popular stands already taken, but he will try and ‘make a plan’ for any latecomers, but do not bargain on it, get in early by phoning John on 083 4577188.
The Zululand Observer will be running a feature on the show in the Weekender hitting the streets the week before the event, on Thursday, 6 July. Anyone wishing to advertise in this feature is free to contact Tanya Smit on 035 7990500 or for editorial content, contact Larry Bentley on 073 6485200.
