‘STATE entities such as Mhlathuze Water must continuously provide procurement opportunities for SMME’s to accelerate economic growth, empowerment and development.’

This is according to Department of Trade and Industry’s Jacob Maphutha, speaking at Mhlathuze Water’s annual suppliers development workshop in Richards Bay which was attended by more than 200 SMMEs.

The workshop aims to contribute to the development of SMME’s into credible economic players by providing them with critical information on the legislative and regulatory frameworks that administrate supply chain practices at Mhlathuze Water.
