Model raises funds for cancer foundation

Wear blue this month in support of childhood cancer awareness month

LOCAL model Tamica Biggar is fund-raising for the CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation by selling badges for International Childhood Cancer Day (ICCD) at R10 each.

As a CHOC Ambassador since 2015, Biggar is encouraging Zululanders to support this cancer awareness event, purchase their badge and wear something blue on 15 February for ICCD.

All funds raised are for the foundation which was established in 1979 as a support group to parents of children with cancer.

In 2016 Biggar’s badge drive raised more than R3 000 for the organisation and she is hoping to exceed this target this year.

She invites schools, businesses and organisations to support the initiative.
