THE killing of KZN teachers has been condemned by community groups and political parties following the murder of a 46-year-old Msinga school principal last week.
IFP KZN Spokesperson on Education, Thembeni Madlopha-Mthethwa, has called for harsher sentences for those convicted of attacking or killing teachers.

‘If anyone was dissatisfied with the principal’s conduct, this is no way to resolve those differences,’ said Madlopha-Mthethwa. ‘No-one will continue working in a dangerous place. We appeal to the Department of Education to ensure teachers are protected in schools.’
She said the solution lay in improving school security by hiring more personnel, as well as removing illegal guns from the hands of criminals.
