WATCH: Saligna pipe burst receives urgent attention
Rush hour traffic along Via Verbena and especially Ysterhout – the alternate route to town - was chaotic this morning
ARBORETUM Extension residents went to bed last (Monday) night with no water supply to their homes following the major pipe burst at the corner of Saligna and North Central Arterial on Sunday.
However, they were relieved to wake up this morning and find the taps were running again, thanks to the team working on the water main problem.

They were at it again early this morning and work will continue for some days as the tarmac will have to be lifted to find the exact location of the leak – which was still gushing this morning.
Meanwhile, work-bound traffic along Via Verbena and especially Ysterhout – the alternate route to town – was chaotic this morning, as a result of Saligna being cordoned off.
Traffic officials were in attendance.
