DWS lifts uMhlathuze water restrictions, emphasises continued vigilance

See the next edition of the ZO Weekender for the full story

DEBORAH Mochotlhi, acting Director-General of the Department of Water and Sanitation (DWS) on Friday gave notice to lift water restrictions in the uMhlathuze water supply system, saying the department believes that a water shortage in the system no longer exists.

While the department has undertaken to withdraw water restrictions, it urged residents to continue being water-wise and using the precious resource sparingly as South Africa at large is deemed a water scarce country.

The full story, with information from the King Cetshwayo District Municipality on implications of the withdrawal of restrictions, will be published in the next edition of the ZO Weekender.
