USING sport as a tool to develop young people at a grassroots level is how Success Way Foundation is helping the community’s youth refrain from substance abuse.

The organisation, which has a number of community-based programmes, has used sport, namely soccer, as an avenue to instil character discipline in young boys and girls.

Recently, Success Way hosted its annual Men in the Making soccer tournament in eSikhaleni, and foundation founder Nompumelelo Ndlela said the event was well supported despite the inclement weather.

‘Our youth must be supported with sport infrastructure and sponsorship in the township so the talent can be maximised.

‘Success Way Foundation thanks the following sponsors of the 2021 tournament – Success Way Holdings Pty Ltd, Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone, Dr Lungile Masuku, Mr Thokozani Gumede, Mganwini Purified Water, Mr Mdu Mathaba, and local supporters.

U10: Golden Club FC
U13: Esikhawini Teenagers FC 3
U15: Esikhawini Teenagers FC 3
U17: Esikhawini Teenagers FC 4
Super League: Romans United FC
