RESIDENTS with post office boxes have one week to renew their post box rental for 2022 at the early bird special which expires on 30 November.
They can pay this year’s price of R585, and post boxes can be renewed at any post office nationally or online 24/7 by clicking on https://www.virtualpostoffice.co.za/.
At bigger post office branches, a separate queue for customers has been allocated for those who are collecting their Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant, ensuring customers who visit their nearest post office for a regular transaction have the shortest possible waiting time.
Cash or card payments are accepted as payment for post boxes. Where branches are closed, customers will be redirected by a notice on the door.

Those with post boxes that are affected by branch closures will receive an SMS from the Post Office with the relevant information.
