COVID-19: Empangeni police station closed due to positive case

The police station is closed for decontamination

All communities serviced by Empangeni Saps are advised that the police station is closed from today (Tuesday) until further notice.

King Cetshwayo Cluster police spokesperson Captain Siyanda Shangase confirmed the shutdown was a result of a Covid-19 case detected at the station.

‘One of our members tested positive for Covid-19.

‘The Community Service Centre will operate from the guard room located at the entrance of the police station.

‘It is not yet confirmed when the building will be decontaminated and when services will resume normally.

‘Station management apologises for any inconvenience caused.’
