Urgent last call for Christmas cheer boxes
Bring joy to a child this Christmas with a donation of toiletries, toys and sweet treats for the Box of Blessings project

Those wanting to support the Walk in Faith Christmas Cheer Project have until Wednesday (8 December) to deliver Boxes of Blessings filled with toiletries, snacks and gifts.
These will be distributed to more than 300 local children.
NPO founder Merinda Ackerman said there are still 60 children who need donations, and is appealing to the community to help them reach their target.
‘We are so grateful to everyone who has participated in this project and for the support from our local communities and businesses,’ said Ackerman.
‘We also received our first boxes and some were complete Box of Blessings while others were only partially complete. Donors can indicate whether they will be providing complete boxes or toiletries or a gift to avoid a child opening an incomplete box.’
She said most children will be on the school drive list as well so additional stationery or school items are welcomed.
‘This project is about sharing what you can to bring a smile to every child,’ continued Ackerman. ‘We know some would like to spoil their beneficiary, but please keep in mind many also have brothers and sisters who might not get the same amount of items in their boxes.’
There are also 120 to 150 families in need of food hampers over the festive season, which individuals and businesses are invited to support.
