Shoppers encouraged to help the needy this festive season

Food collection boxes have been placed prominently at the Five Ways Mall and Town Square Mall SuperSpars

Food collection boxes have been placed prominently at the Five Ways Mall and Town Square Mall SuperSpars, where shoppers can buy an extra item for distribution to the needy through the DICE (Do I Care Enough?) charity.

‘The boxes are clearly marked and we have listed the items that we most need when making up food parcels,’ said DICE Operations Manager, Karen Dalton.

‘We are praying that locals give generously as the number of people asking for help has been growing steadily over the Covid period.

‘Special thanks go to Spar owner Harry Giannacopoulos and his management teams for permitting us to place the boxes in their stores.

Karen’s message to shoppers is: ‘We know these are tough times for everyone but please spare a thought for those in far worse circumstances.’
