uMkhanyakude mayor vows to prioritise water provision

The mayor said he would spend time visiting the communities in all four local municipalities.

Umkhanyakude Mayor Mandla Ndlela has promised to address the region’s water crisis.

In his inaugural address after being elected unopposed, he said he would spend time visiting the communities in all four local municipalities.

‘I need to bring changes to the communities,’ Ndlela said.

‘We can easily rectify the water crisis in our region as we have the infrastructure; we just need to maintain that infrastructure so it functions properly.’

He further urged all local councillors to put their political differences aside and work together for the people.
