Are you spending New Year’s Eve alone?
There is a variety of things that can keep you busy this New Year's Eve and we compiled a list for you

If you are one of the many people who will spend New Year’s Eve alone this year, whether you prefer it that way or circumstances led to it, there is a multitude of things you can do to spend a quiet night in.
This alone time can be the perfect time to learn new skills, catch up on movies and series, and finally read that book that has gathered a lot of dust on the shelf this year.
Have an online party: Video chat services such as Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams or Facebook and Instagram Live make it easy to be with your loved ones, without being with them. Set up your own online party while only spending a limited amount of money on snacks and drinks for yourself, as well as data costs. The best thing about an online party is staying on the couch in your most comfortable clothing, while not having a case of FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out). Cleaning is also much easier afterwards as you do not have to clean up after your guests.
Browse the web and shop online: Take the time and give the internet a good browse. Find out what Disney character you look like or if you can pass your favourite series ultimate quiz. You can also do some online shopping and purchase those trendy items for the year ahead. It’s easy and does not take a lot of effort to get done.
Become a master chef: Channel your inner Gordon Ramsay and turn your kitchen into the ultimate restaurant. Spoil yourself and cook your favourite meal. You can even learn some new recipes or spice up some of your old-time favourites.
Watch and listen: Switch on the TV or get out your laptop and binge on your favourite series and movies. No one will judge you if you decide to spend the whole day in your pajamas and in bed, counting down the hours until midnight while streaming your favourite shows. If watching series isn’t something of interest to you, turn up the volume and listen to your favourite songs and pass time by creating playlists.
Read and/or write: Use this valuable time to finally start on that novel that has been in your head for some time. If writing isn’t your thing, dust off that book you bought at the beginning of the year and finally page through it. You can also get into the world of e-learning and e-books, by reading topics of interest to you online.
Hone your skills or learn new ones: Heading into the new year with some new skills can be a good thing, especially if you can use them to earn an extra income. You can always fine-tune your guitar-playing skills or hone those skills you learned many moons ago.
