iSimangaliso calls for participation in investment summit
The summit aims to showcase tourism investment opportunities within the park and as a platform to engage potential investors and other stakeholders.
Isimangaliso Wetland Park has called on all domestic and foreign investors to register to participate in the upcoming investment summit, set to take place in Durban next month.
The summit, scheduled for 25 March, aims to showcase tourism investment opportunities within the park and as a platform to engage potential investors and other stakeholders.
It was supposed to take place in August last year, but had to be postponed due to Covid-19 restrictions and the civil unrest which affected KZN and Gauteng.
iSimangaliso CEO Sibusiso Bukhosini explained at the time that the civil disturbances negatively affected South Africa’s image as an attractive investment destination.
‘iSimangaliso consulted extensively on whether it would be feasible to continue with the summit considering the prevailing conditions,’ he said at the time.
It was then resolved that the environment was not conducive for the summit to continue at that point in time.
The registration process for the summit is open until 10 March.
As a result of Covid-19 protocols, the maximum number of delegates allowed at the venue will be limited to not more than 250 people.
