Know the benefits of aromatherapy
The second week of June each year is set aside to raise awareness of aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is using scents and smells from essential oils or plant extracts to help soothe or treat various conditions.
These can include bringing calm and relaxation to people suffering from anxiety or other such mental health issues.

Essential oils can also be used for massages, baths, and in diffusers for inhalation.
During Aromatherapy Week, awareness is raised to shed light on using non-medicinal measures to help with a variety of conditions.
Here is a list of essential oils and their benefits when used as aromatherapy:
• Basil: Helps relieve some symptoms of depression, it also relieves migraines and headaches
• Black pepper: Stimulates circulation and relieves muscular aches and pains
• Eucalyptus: Helps relieve the airways during cold or flu
• Lavender: Enhances relaxation and sleep, and helps relieve migraines and headaches. Lavender essential oil is also used as an antiseptic for minor cuts and burns. It is said to relieve headaches and migraine symptoms too
• Lemon: Is said to improve your mood and relieve the symptoms of stress and depression
• Rosemary: Helps with memory boost, prevents muscle spasms, and supports the circulatory and nervous systems
• Thyme: Helps reduce fatigue, nervousness, and stress
• Yarrow: Is used to treat and reduce joint inflammation.
