100 local youth were part of the programme on Wednesday and were workshopped on economic development

Ahead of Youth Day, youngsters at Khula Village under Mtubatuba were part of an empowerment programme organised by the area’s councillor, Ntokozo Mlungwana.

Mlungwana said 100 local youth were part of the programme on Wednesday and were workshopped on economic development, their human rights, and how and when to make use of Childline.

‘This programme was held in partnership with the Department of Social Development, and its aim was to equip the youth with knowledge to help them take their lives forward,’ said Mlungwana.

He added that it is hoped the local youth would now be able to take the matter of self-development into their own hands.
