5 ways to keep kids entertained these holidays

A quick guide for parents to keep their little ones entertained during the school holidays

With your kids at home for a few weeks, you’re going to need some ways to fill the time.

Doing something together will keep them stimulated and entertained – you just need to be a bit creative!
Here are a few simple yet fun things you can do with your children during these winter holidays, without breaking the bank.

1. Build a fort
Make laundry day fun by building a fort with pillows, bedding sheets and duvet covers. Whether indoors or outdoors, building an imaginary castle can be so much fun for your little ones.

2. Make a meal
Children find it so fascinating to see how to make meals. Try out new recipes with the kids and see how they get excited from watching their yummy meal come together.

3. Go camping indoors
Allow the kids to use their imagination by building a tent indoors for them to ‘camp’ for the night. Hang fairy lights and use torches to tell stories.

4. Build a robot
Use old boxes and Christmas wrapping to dress up as robots. Create a robotic world using recycled material.

5. Showtime
Put on a show, whether theatre, puppet show or a musical. Make this more fun by allowing the kids to create their own songs or stories to perform for the whole family.
