Three critical after N2 accident

The single-vehicle accident occurred on the N2 on Sunday morning

THREE people were critically injured and another four sustained moderate injuries after the vehicle in which they were travelling rolled on the N2 earlier today (Sunday).

The accident occurred just after 10am on the freeway’s southbound carriageway in the vicinity of Fairbreeze mine.

IPSS Medical Rescue and advanced life paramedics attended the scene and treated the patients before transporting them to Ngwelezana Hospital for further medical attention.

The single-vehicle accident is believed to have occurred after the car suffered a blow-out.

After initial reports that one person had succumbed to their injuries, paramedics established that the patient was still alive, and treated him before rushing him to hospital.
