Miss Supranational brings home the crown

Reigning Miss SA and Miss Supranational returned home on Friday

ZULULAND’S golden girl returned to South Africa earlier today (Friday) and was greeted by excited, delighted and loyal supporters at OR Tambo International Airport.

As the reigning Miss South Africa, Lalela Mswane was crowned Miss Supranational in Poland on 15 July.

The Miss SA organisation held a press briefing with the reigning Miss Supranational, who said she is grateful for the crown and for the support she received from everyone.

“Being in Poland for the past fortnight, ahead of my return to Johannesburg, gave me a chance to let everything sink in,” she said.

“I am grateful and share the crown with everyone in this country. I am the first black woman to have won the title – what a time to be alive!

“It’s been a big week for women following the Banyana Banyana win. I am filled with national pride,” she said.
