SEPTEMBER is occasionally referred to as ‘Sip-tember’, making it an appropriate time for Mtunzini Spar & Tops to introduce the Sip & Taste Festival 2022.

Residents and visitors to the greater Zululand area are invited to sip, mix, taste, and mingle at the evening event that will celebrate the store’s suppliers. The festival is set to be held from 6pm on Thursday, 22 September at Mtunzini Country Club.

“The idea came from other Spar taste festivals held across the province in celebration of our suppliers by bringing together good food and drinks to our town.” Mtunzini Spar Director Daniel Verbaan.

Customer favourites such as Fresh Line and Chicka Chicken will be showcased at the evening extravaganza. Mtunzini Spar & Tops are the main sponsors, in collaboration with partners whose products will be on display.

“We have 26 wine estates, 12 distilleries and 3 breweries from around South Africa joining us for this taste celebration, in what we hope will become an annual event.”

Sounds amazing, doesn’t it? Purchase a ticket for just R200 from Mtunzini Spar & Tops, Tops on Station, or at the Mtunzini Country Club. A ticket will get you a tasting glass, tasters, and live music by the band Angus from Richards Bay. Tickets are limited, so hurry!

A portion of the ticket sales will be donated to the Mtunzini Residents’ Association (MRA), which runs notable community projects including the upkeep of the Mtunzini track and trails, PUG (Pop-up Garden crew volunteers), and the Handyman Project that ensures Mtunzini maintains its pristine common areas.
