ABLE Centre in Richards Bay is a specialised non-profit neurodevelopmental intervention centre.
It provides intensive, individualised and relationship-based support for neurodiverse children through early intervention, communication development, behavioural support and holistic family partnership – with the goal of unlocking abilities.

Meeting a need in the community

For more than 15 years, ABLE Centre has stood as a place of hope, providing specialised intervention and transformational support for neurodiverse children and their families in Richards Bay and surrounding communities.
Founded in response to the lack of specialised autism and neurodevelopmental intervention services in the region, ABLE Centre was created as a mission-driven intervention centre to changing developmental outcomes when intervention matters most.
At the heart of ABLE Centre is the belief: every child has the ability to learn, develop and grow when given the right support, understanding, structure and opportunity.

Unlocking abilities

Unlike traditional educational environments where children often fit into standardised systems, ABLE Centre builds intervention around the individual child.
They recognise that neurodiverse children require specialised approaches to communication, behaviour, emotional regulation, learning and life skills development.
The Centre combines intensive early intervention, autism-informed education, behaviour science, AAC communication support, emotional development and practical life-readiness into one integrated, relationship-based approach.
