“With pricing starting at R350 000, it represents an important step in making electric mobility more accessible locally,” said Chery South Africa national marketing and communications manager, Verene Petersen.
Electrifying your drive
The Chery Q is powered by a 90kW electric motor coupled with a durable 42.7kWh battery, which provides an estimated range of up to 400km on the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC).
Engineered with a compact footprint and an impressive 5.2m turning radius, the Q is designed to make navigating suburban environments effortless.
Its intelligent driver-assistance and automatic parking systems assist in making navigating congestion and tight parking spaces a pleasurable experience.
Exterior
Chery refers to this model as the ‘Square-Round Harmony’, owing to its squared-off shape finished with softer, rounded details.
Exterior features include Q-shaped LED headlights and 16- or 17-inch wheels, depending on the derivative.
Internationally, the Chery Q has already created a buzz as the winner of the Red Dot Product Design Award.
Additionally, it features a six-layer high-gloss paint finish, supported by a 10-year anti-fade promise.
Cabin
The Q features a striking, two-tone dashboard and flat-bottom steering wheel, adding an extra layer of chic to its stylish and modern cabin.
The dashboard features an 8.8-inch digital instrument display, paired with an eye-catching 15.6-inch 2.5K central touchscreen, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 processor.
This state-of-the-art system supports an adaptable home screen and gesture controls.
