According to reports, the planned national shutdown was temporarily halted following a meeting on Sunday with relevant stakeholders.

The forum said it would closely monitor the implementation plan agreed upon in the visual meeting.

SA Trucker reported that the forum urged all its members to refrain from any illegal activity, ‘and expressed hope that government departments would uphold their commitment to intensify inspections and enforcement of compliance regulations’.

Details will be made available once more information comes to light.
