Empangeni residents in the Panorama suburb were forced to endure a second consecutive long weekend of municipal service failures.

The Easter weekend saw residents plunged into darkness with a prolonged electricity outage, while over the Freedom Day long weekend the same residents went without water for almost 24 hours.
