Children’s hospice in Empangeni welcomes first patients

The butterfly Home offers end-of-life care for orphaned and abandoned babies, and young children facing terminal illness

Butterfly Palliative Home Empangeni, one of two facilities run by Butterfly Home, has admitted its first three patients.

Together with its flagship facility in Ingwavuma, these are the only dedicated children’s hospices in KZN, and two of just four in South Africa.
