Help feed Richards Bay’s needy this winter

Richards Bay Family Care pleads for basic grocery items to support many households in need

The food cupboards at Richards Bay Family Care (RBFC) are bare.

RBFC is a non-profit welfare organisation that renders comprehensive professional services in terms of the Child Care Act to families with children under the age of 12.

They also assist young children and families with grocery supplies, and call on members of the public to support their ongoing food distribution to families in need.

There are many households in need, and an urgent appeal for basic grocery items like canned foods and any other non-perishable items has been made.

As a welfare organisation, RBFC has been running incoming-generating projects like their clothing shop to raise funds to boost their programmes supporting vulnerable children in need.

The initiative, driven by volunteer Angela Benjamin, has been ongoing for over a year, and community members can made donations of good quality preloved times which are resold to bring in funds for the organisation.

Benjamin can be contacted on 079 3313755 for collection of items.
