Schoolchildren forced to use makeshift boat to cross river after heavy rain destroys bridge

For almost two weeks, scores of children in Hluhluwe have been forced to use a makeshift boat to cross the Mpompoma River to get to school.

This after the bridge was destroyed in recent heavy rains, making it nigh on impossible for residents of eKuvumbeni reserve in KwaMqobokazi to go to town…
