Special economic zone initiative will boost jobs and youth development

Local campaign seeks to offer transformational community development and job creation

Against the backdrop of the high unemployment rate in South Africa, the community of Emkhobosa reserve under the KwaDube Traditional Authority recently welcomed the implementation of the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) programme.

Spearheaded by the Richards Bay Industrial Development Zone (RBIDZ) and several stakeholders, the campaign aims to offer transformational community development and job creation.

While unpacking the objective of the initiative, they spoke in depth on the processes regarding opportunities available to the youth and how the plans for the future include advancing their skills through various development programmes.

Grateful to be part of the trailblazing initiative was Induna Nkosikhona Mkhize, who expressed his excitement and appreciation to the entities for taking their time and funds to invest in the people of his community.

He commended them for their dedication to enriching the lives of the youth and providing the hope of making them employable in the saturated job market.
