16-hour water outage in Empangeni

Maintenance shutdown to affect water supply to some areas in Empangeni

The City of uMhlathuze has instituted a planned water interruption today (Thursday).

The 16-hour interruption, which began at 7am and is set to last until 11pm tonight, is owing to a maintenance shutdown by uMngeni-uThukela Water.

The affected areas will include Empangeni CBD, Panorama, Nyala Park, Dumisane Makhaye Village, and Madlebe North and South.

The municipality said, in the meantime, water tankers will be provided to affected areas, and community members should contact their councillors for assistance.
