Embattled KZN director-general resigns
Former City of uMhlathuze municipal manager steps in as acting director general in KZN government
Director-General in the KZN government, Dr Nonhlanhla Mkhize, has resigned from her position.
Mkhize was denied by Judge Peter John Olsen in her December application in the KZN High Court for the separation of cases related to the ongoing investigation into R37-million fraud and corruption allegations at the former Mhlathuze Water (MW), dating back to 2022.
Following her abrupt exit, Dr Nkosenye Zulu, the former City of uMhlathuze municipal manager, has been appointed to act in her position.
