'Youngest police commissioner' reports for duty in Manguzi

Police at eManguzi Police Station made a a young boy’s dream come true when they welcomed him as the ‘youngest police commissioner’ at the station.

Nkazimulo Tembe (5) has, for the past year, shown great interest in becoming a policeman, asking his mother, Nonkululeko Nsimbi, to get him a police uniform for his nursery school career day.

For his 5th birthday on 28 April, Nsimbi bought him the uniform, after which he wanted to visit eManguzi SAPS to perform his police duties.

Lieutenant Colonel Sbusiso Mkhize welcomed ‘the youngest police commissioner’ to the station, and interviewed him about his passion, discovering that the youngster is dedicated to protecting the community.

He even had the opportunity to show off his reading and writing skills by ‘filling out police reports’.

uMkhanyakude district commissioner Brigadier Jeros Thango was amazed by the passion shown by little Nkazimulo for the SAPS.
