Speaker of KZN Legislature, Nontembeko Boyce engages pupils on civic education
To further promote civic awareness among all South African children, Speaker of KZN Legislature, Nontembeko Boyce, visited Port Shepstone-based special needs’ school, St Martin De Porres Comprehensive School.
Boyce led an engaging Civic Education session where pupils explored their rights and responsibilities in a democratic society, saying, “Your voice matters, and being informed is the first step to shaping your future.”
Boyce held a general knowledge quiz, where pupils who answered correctly received small gifts.
Chairperson of the Ugu Disability Forum, Sindi Cebisa, expressed gratitude for the Speaker’s continued support of the disability sector, emphasising the importance of inclusion.
“Every child deserves to be treated equally, with dignity and kindness. No one should be left behind,” Cebisa said.
