Help KZN children’s hospice fill their shelves

Butterfly Palliative Home asks for assistance with groceries, nappies and medicine for their little patients

The Butterfly Palliative Home children’s hospice based in Empangeni and Ingwavuma is reaching out for help with supplies for the young ‘butterflies’ in their care.

They ask the community to help with groceries, essential goods – such as nappies – and basic medicine.

“Please help us fill our shelves and ensure our children have what they need. Every little helps!” requested the NGO on their social media platforms.

Butterfly Home offers end-of-life care for orphaned and abandoned babies, and young children facing terminal illness.

Butterfly Home’s flagship facility in Ingwavuma was the first children’s hospice in KZN and one of just three in South Africa.

Their newly-opened Empangeni home now makes two in KZN and five in the country.

Community members are welcome to drop off supplies at 1 Eland Crescent, Nyala Park, Empangeni.
