WATCH: Safety concerns over R34 ongoing roadwork delays

Heavy traffic flow and halted repair work poses huge frustrations and safety concerns for motorists commuting on the R34 outside Empangeni

Roadwork delays on the pothole-riddled R34 outside Empangeni have left motorists fuming and concerned for their safety.

Three weeks ago, the contractor removed the tar along the Bargain Shed to Empangeni Milling stretch of road, however, the section has been left unworked on for almost two weeks.

Heavy traffic flow along the road poses huge frustration for motorists.

“They’ve carved it up, but nothing is happening. Are the guys still on contract? Is there money left?” questioned one motorist.
