Help hockey star hit goals in Holland

Help fund teen hockey star's dream of scoring goals in the Netherlands this October

A local sport star has been scouted for a hockey tour in the Netherlands this October.

Zenande Mncwabe (16), an Empangeni resident and Grade 10 learner at Felixton College (FC), is eager to fly the South African flag in ‘windmill country’.

She was scouted by Into Africa Sports for the tour, which runs from 6 to 16 October, based on her performance at the regional SPAR regional hockey challenge in early May.

There she played in the girls’ hockey first team, scoring the winning goal in an 8-second penalty shoot-out and helping her team to victory in the North Coast SPAR KZN Schoolgirls’ Hockey challenge.

Her greatest cheerleader, mom Ziningi Mncwabe, is busy fundraising costs for the tour, which amount to R55 000. To help Zenande achieve her hockey goals, contact Mom Ziningi on 073 6903090.
