Illegal dumping continues unabated in Richards Bay as community is urged to heed call to protect environment

Despite efforts to curb illegal dumping in Aquadene, the activity continues in various parts of the community and at the roadside entering the suburb.

The recent municipal workers’ strike exacerbated the problem as household refuse went uncollected for more than two weeks.

Community members have been called on to stop illegal dumping, yet ongoing awareness campaigns of its negative impact on the environment and on the cleanliness of the community have seemingly fallen on deaf ears…
