Baby in 'relatively good health' after being dumped in Sundumbili pit latrine

A baby boy is receiving the care and medical assistance he requires after having been dumped in a pit latrine in the Sundumbili area.

According to IPSS Medical Rescue, whose paramedics were called to the scene on Friday morning, concerned community members rescued the baby after hearing his cries.

“IPSS Medical Rescue paramedics assessed the baby boy, who is in relatively good health,” said IPSS spokesperson Samantha Meyrick.

“He was transported to Sundumbili Clinic for further care,” she said.
